A few days after Gwyneth was born, I discovered this lone rose petal on our coffee table.  It had fallen from one of the numerous arrangements now adorning our living room.

Precise auto-focus control on the rose center was achieved using "live view" with our new Canon 7D.  The large aperture (f/1.8) is used to create a subdued background blur causing the subject to pop.  Can't do this with a cell phone camera.
